Stoke House

Stoke HouseStoke House is a residential care home for adults with learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, epilepsy, mental health and associated needs.

The home is situated on Harborough Road, 2 miles north of Northampton town centre on the A508 Northampton to Market Harborough Road. It is adjacent to Kingsthorpe shopping centre and its shops, recreational and leisure facilities and is only a short bus ride away from Northampton town centre. It is  conveniently adjacent to bus routes 4 and 4a. Northampton is easily accessed by road through junction 15 and 15a of the M1 motorway and by train from London Euston and other mainline stations.

Stoke House is a Grade 2 listed Victorian house of space and character.   All accommodation is provided in single rooms.  The home also offers a semi independent unit that is situated within the  grounds of the home. The unit comprises of a lounge and dining area, shower room with toilet and hand basin and a kitchen; although the unit is situated away from the main house, the staff team is available 24 hours to support the user of service. 

As an individualized service, including management of autistic spectrum disorder, epilepsy and mental health problems, Stoke House promotes independence by supporting transition, which enables people to have informed choices and control over their lives wherever possible.

Stoke House provides a service for adults of either sex seeking to improve their independent living skills who will be encouraged to aim to move on to more independent forms of living.  For those unable or unwilling to do so the home is able to provide a medium or long term care service.

A full day opportunities service is available to all service users who are not otherwise engaged.
